In terms of fuel economy, the EPA estimates 18 mpg city and 24 highway for the xDrive35i; we averaged 21 mpg, the same as in 2015, or 1 mpg better than the EPA combined estimate of 20. Similarly Price range not more than 150K. I've seen a few 2007-2008 BMW x3 2.0d and 3.0d in this price range. The 2.0d has enough torque to pull the caravan and is very light on fuel, but that 3.0d is in a class of its own. I have a 2009 335d with 37K miles. Bought it new in Houston. I used to get 35-36mpg and since all the software revisions my mpg has dropped to like 31. This has not been the experience of most of the people tracking this on the diesel forum. There are a couple threads over there (most 6-8 months old) talking about it.
