Half Life 2 is also an older game with an older engine, wasn't designed for VR, and was modded by fans, not officially implemented. Even though Alyx is actually my favorite Half Life game, I can already tell HL2VR is going to be a joy to play. They really went all in to translate HL2's systems to vr in an easy to use way.
